College of Sciences to Present Panel Discussion

The University of Findlay’s College of Sciences (COS) will present “How to Double the Number of Scientists, Technologists, Engineers and Mathematicians by 2015” as part of its seminar and lecture series.
The panel discussion will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in Martin Lecture Hall, which is located in the William B. Brewer Science Hall on the UF campus. Community members, as well as UF students, faculty and staff, are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Panel members include Julie McIntosh, Ed.D., assistant professor in the College of Education and director of the AYA and multi-age programs; Lynn E. Elfner, CEO of The Ohio Academy of Science, Columbus, Ohio; Ray McCandless, D.A., director of academic technology services and professor of political science; Ben E. Sapp, M.A.E., deputy director of the Mazza Museum and instructor in the College of Education; Michael T. Homsher, Ph.D., COS faculty chair and associate professor of environmental, safety and occupational health management; and David E. Foster, M.A., associate professor of communication, who also will be serving as panel adviser.
