Third-ranked Oilers to host NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Tournament

The University of Findlay’s men’s basketball team claimed the top seed in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region on Sunday, March 4. As the No. 1 seed, the Oilers will host the first three rounds of the NCAA Division II Tournament in Croy Gymnasium on March 10, 11 and 13. The winner of the regional at Findlay will then travel to Springfield, Mass., for the Elite Eight and Final Four.

The seedings for the Great Lakes Regional Tournament are as follows:

1. Findlay - 28-1
2. Southern Indiana - 28-5
3. Grand Valley State - 26-4
4. Northern Kentucky - 22-8
5. Drury - 21-8
6. Quincy - 20-9
7. Rockhurst - 17-11
8. Wisconsin-Parkside - 19-12

Noon Saturday - Quincy vs. Grand Valley State
2:30 p.m. Saturday - Rockhurst vs. Southern Indiana
6 p.m. Saturday - Wisconsin-Parkside vs. Findlay
8:30 p.m. Saturday - Drury vs. Northern Kentucky

5 p.m. Sunday - Winner (#3 GVSU/#6 Quincy) vs. Winner (#2 USI/#7 Rockhurst)
7:30 p.m. Sunday - Winner (#1 UF/#8 Parkside) vs. Winner (#4 NKU/#5 Drury)

Tuesday’s championship game will be played at 7 p.m.

Ticket information

Tickets for the event are on sale 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. weekdays in the UF athletic office located on the second floor of the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex. Ticket prices for the event are as follows:

$10 - Reserved
$8 - General Admission
$4 - Student (6-17)
