UF Hosts Second New Student Registration Day
Friday, May 25, 2007

 orientation leaders
Current UF students served as orientation leaders
during New Student Registration Day.

The second New Student Registration Day took place on The University of Findlay campus Thursday, May 24. Approximately 170 students and their parents participated.

Students registered for fall classes, met the deans of their prospective colleges and took care of necessities such as getting a student identification card, confirming housing arrangements and choosing a meal plan. New freshmen also had the opportunity to speak with representatives from UF’s honors program, the bookstore, counseling services and Winebrenner Theological Seminary, and from the offices of intercultural student services, disability services, student activities and commuter student services.

For those looking to become involved in extracurricular activities, students were invited to speak with faculty and staff members about the music program, service learning opportunities, athletics and intramurals.

Parents who arrived on campus with their students had the option of attending sessions that included an overview of receiving an education at Findlay, information about billing and a panel discussion during which parents will hear from other parents, students, alumni and city administrators.

Additional New Student Registration Days are planned for June 13, July 13 and Aug. 23.
