New Student Registration Day May 24
Monday, May 21, 2007
The second New Student Registration Day will take place on The University of Findlay campus Thursday, May 24. Approximately 180 students and their parents will arrive on campus between 8 and 9 a.m.
Students will register for fall classes, meet the deans of their prospective colleges and take care of necessities such as getting a student identification card, confirming housing arrangements and choosing a meal plan. New freshmen also will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from UF’s honors program, the bookstore, counseling services and Winebrenner Theological Seminary, and from the offices of intercultural student services, disability services, student activities and commuter student services.
For those looking to become involved in extracurricular activities, students are invited to speak with faculty and staff members about the music program, service learning opportunities, athletics and intramurals.
Parents who arrive on campus with their students have the option of attending sessions that include an overview of receiving an education at Findlay, information about billing and a panel discussion during which parents will hear from other parents, students, alumni and city administrators.
Additional New Student Registration Days are planned for June 13, July 13 and Aug. 23. During the first New Student Registration Day May 15, 169 students registered for classes.
