Current and former members of The University of Findlay and Findlay College concert band, symphonic band and wind ensemble will join forces to present a special concert band alumni performance at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the Riverside Park Allen P. Dudley Band Shell.

Directed by Jack Taylor, professor of music and director of bands, the special concert is part of the University’s 125th anniversary celebration. It also is the first alumni band concert in more than 20 years.

The group will perform some marches, the fight song, written by former band director Louis Chenette, the alma mater, written by former band director “Doc” John Shepherd, and several other selections.

Band members will gather on Saturday, June 30, for a full day of rehearsal, followed by dinner together. On Sunday, July 1, a short rehearsal will be held in the morning.
