The University of Findlay’s College of Liberal Arts will present “…on a liquid afternoon,” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Winebrenner Theological Seminary featuring tenor Micheal F. Anders, Ph.D., professor of music, accompanied by pianist Kelly Lewis, staff accompanist.

The first half of the recital will include several 18th-century Italian songs and arias, as well as six songs by contemporary American composer John Bucchino.

During the second half of the performance, Anders and Lewis will present two groups of American musical theatre songs. Selections include songs from pre-1950 Broadway shows by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Leonard Bernstein. The recital will conclude with songs from Broadway’s contemporary musicals including “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” “The Producers,” “Parade” and others.
