Take advantage of discounted early-bird registration for The University of Findlay’s Senior Forum through Sept. 17. Sessions begin Wednesday, Sept. 26, and will continue weekly through Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU).

The cost to attend the entire six-week schedule is $65 for singles and $125 for couples. Individual sessions are $5. If paid by Sept. 17, participants can take advantage of an early-bird discount at $60 for singles, $115 for couples and $4 per session.

A buffet lunch is available for $5 per day, and a coffee/tea bar is available all day at no additional charge.

To register, contact Joni Staldt, executive administrative assistant for the vice president of academic affairs, at 419-434-4553.

Senior Forum is a flexible learning experience for people age 50 and older. Participants will explore a variety of topics with expert instructors from the UF campus and the greater community.

Each Senior Forum offers three informative and entertaining sessions – one in the morning, one during the lunch hour and one in the afternoon. Attendees may choose to complete the entire six-week schedule or attend single sessions.

The Sept. 26 Senior Forum will begin with a coffee social at 10 a.m. followed by “Facades and Families” by Linda Paul at 10:15 a.m. A buffet lunch will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Kathy Grant, Ph.D., UF associate professor of sociology, will present “Kathy’s Cuba” at noon, and Dan Webb, UF’s business manger of the Center for Equine and Pre-Veterinary Studies, will lead “A Visit to UF’s Western Riding Farm” at 1:30 p.m.

Reserved parking spaces will be available beside the AMU for Senior Forum participants. A map will be sent when registrations are received.
