UF to Host Sixth Annual Information Assurance Forum
Monday, October 22, 2007

The University of Findlay’s Center for Information Assurance Education and the Technology Management Area will host the Sixth Annual Information Assurance Forum from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

Reservations are requested for the lunch session only, as a box lunch will be provided. R.S.V.P. to Beverly Roth at 419-434-4637 or roth@findlay.edu. All sessions are free and open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome to all sessions except during the lunch session, from noon to 12:50 p.m.

The forum will highlight copyright law, fair use, software licensing, intellectual property and more. Presenters include Todd Wilson, Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., who will present “Surviving in the Software Licensing Jungle”; Doug Huffman, Firmin, Sprague and Huffman Co., L.P.A., who will present “Plagiarism and Fair Use”; John M. Pontius and C. Matthew Curtin, Interhack Corp., who will present “The Cost of Misappropriation”; and C. Matthew Curtin, Interhack Corp. who will present “Consultant Residue.”

Morning sessions will include UF student presentations that showcase a community-based research project conducted in conjunction with the Technology Infrastructure committee of Greater Findlay Inc.
