2007 Grad Receives Mallinckrodt Award of Excellence

Shane M. Cox ’07
Shane M. Cox, a 2007 graduate of The University of Findlay, was recently chosen by the Nuclear Medicine Institute (NMI) at UF and Tyco Healthcare Mallinckrodt to receive the Mallinckrodt Award of Excellence.

A native of Bluffton, Cox graduated from the NMI after completing didactic training at NMI and clinical training at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Cox also holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. He currently works as a staff technologist in South Carolina.

Each recipient of this award must meet three criteria. The recipient must have graduated from the NMI and passed the NMI final exam on the first attempt with a score of 85 or higher. The recipient must have a program GPA of 3.8 or higher. The recipient must demonstrate good problem-solving capabilities and an active interest in the nuclear medicine profession.
