Donate Coats, Hats, Mittens and Gloves Nov. 26-30
Tuesday, November 20, 2007

The University of Findlay will participate in the countywide Coats for Christmas project Monday, Nov. 26, through Friday, Nov. 30.

Campus Compact, Physical Therapy Organization and Alpha Sigma Phi will set up four collection points: Alumni Memorial Union (AMU), Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Davis Street building lounge and first floor of Old Main.

New and gently used coats, as well as new gloves, mittens and hats will be accepted.

In addition, Campus Compact will sell paper hats, gloves and coats for $1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in both the AMU and Old Main. The paper ornaments will be hung on Christmas trees at collections points, and the money raised will be used to purchase new gloves, mittens and hats.

After all coats have been collected, City Laundry and Dry Cleaning Co. will clean the coats at no cost. All coats will be distributed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9, at Washington Intermediate School.

Last year, more than 3,000 coats were collected and distributed. This is the 20th year the community has participated in the Coats for Christmas project.
