Concert-Chorale to Present “An International Christmas”

The University of Findlay’s Concert-Chorale Christmas concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. Call the UF Box Office at 419-434-5335. Tickets also will be available at the door.

The 50-voice choir will perform “An International Christmas,” which will feature arrangements of seasonal carols for a variety of countries and ethnicities including Spain, India, Sweden, Ireland, France, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Botswana, England, Venezuela, Germany and the United States.

Featured student soloists include Shana Schnipke in “Christ’s Lullaby,” Prescott Reser in “O, Can You Not Hear?” and Kara Wilkinson in “The Linden Tree.”  Kirt Schnipke, Cari Hahler, Holly Butler and Jim Conley will sing “Gaudate.”

Several numbers will feature instrumental obbligatos performed by Samuel Reinmann on percussion, Chelsea Buchko on violin, Laura Seslar on violin, Mary Patterson on flute/recorder and James Stephani on percussion.

The group is conducted by Micheal F. Anders, Ph.D., professor of music, and accompanied by Sharon Vaas.
