Bach’s Lunch Nov. 9
Sunday, November 04, 2007

The Bowling Green State University Jazz Singers will perform at noon Friday, Nov. 9, in the atrium of the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU) at The University of Findlay.

The group, a 12-member vocal jazz ensemble under the direction of Chris
Buzzelli
, performs a variety of music in the vocal jazz tradition. These selections include solo and tight-harmony choral music in the style of groups such as The Manhattan Transfer or The Real Group. The ensemble also includes a rhythm section made up of BGSU students. The Jazz Singers will explore a wide variety of musical styles and genres from bebop to show tunes.

The Bach’s Lunch series is sponsored by the UF music area in conjunction with the Office of Student Activities and Commuter Student Services. Audience members are not only permitted, but also encouraged to bring lunch or other refreshments to enjoy with the entertainment.

Future Bach’s Lunch performances include the Tu-Ba Fours Dec. 7; John Cleveland Feb. 22 and The Northernaires March 28.

Following The BGSU Jazz Singers, the next performance will be in the AMU atrium, and the last two shows will return to the multi-purpose room. All performances are at noon and are free to the public.
