Theatre Program, Alpha Psi Omega to Host Seventh Annual Triage Theatre
Tuesday, January 29, 2008

The University of Findlay Theatre Program and Alpha Psi Omega, the University’s honorary co-educational theater fraternity, are set to host the seventh annual Triage Theatre event with a performance at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.

Triage, which is the process of writing, producing and performing a five- to 10-minute skit in 24 hours, will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Participants are given a theme and are turned loose to create unique shows.

Exactly 24 hours later, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, a paying audience will watch each skit and cast votes to determine the best one. The winning group will receive a cash prize, which comes from a $5 entrance fee every participant pays.

Past themes in Triage Theatre have challenged students to use Top 40 song lyrics as dialogue, show what superheroes are like in their time off and combine classic fairy tales to tell a new story.

Admittance to Triage is $5 for community members and free to all UF faculty, staff and students with a valid I.D.
