Families Welcome “Under the Sea” at the Mazza Museum
Wednesday, January 30, 2008

The Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books welcomes families to its next free, once-a-month Funday Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, on The University of Findlay campus.

This event is made possible, in part, by The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation and Bill and Francia Eckert.

The theme for the afternoon will be “Under the Sea,” and many family-friendly activities will entertain and educate. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend their choice of several different story stations in the museum, where museum docents will provide interactive story telling.

There also will be music and game stations from which to choose, as well as art stations where families can create a mural, have their caricatures drawn and more. All activities are designed for families to experience together.

Refreshments will be provided, and the Gift Gallery will be open.

The next Funday Sunday will be Sunday, March 2, 2008, and the theme will be “Everyday Heroes.” In addition to the other activities to take place, donations of non-perishable food items will be collected and delivered to Chopin (Christians Helping Other People in Need) Hall following the event.

For more information about Funday Sunday, contact Terry Olthouse, education coordinator, at 1-800-472-9502, ext. 4777.
