Speaker Series on Economic Development Begins Thursday

The University of Findlay’s College of Business will host a speaker series titled “Will Your Hometown Thrive or Die?” as part of a Fundamentals of Economic Development class this semester. Each presentation is from 2 until 3:15 p.m. and will meet in Shafer Library, Room 117A. Program topics include economic development, port authorities and zoning. Community members are welcome to attend the following free educational opportunities: • Thursday, Feb. 7, Jerry Arkebauer, president of the Hancock/Findlay Port Authority • Tuesday, Feb. 26, Rick Thielen, economic development and zoning administrators for the city of Perrysburg, Ohio • Tuesday, March 11, Angie Kuhn, newly elected mayor of Whitehouse, Ohio, and tax commissioner and economic development coordinator for the city of Sylvania, Ohio • Tuesday, April 15, Linda Hall, economic development specialist for the Poggemeyer Design Group
