Gwynne Rife, Ph.D., professor of biology, will present “Baleen Whales of the Sea of Cortez” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Malcolm Lecture Hall, located in Frost.

In February 2007, Rife participated in an international blue whale research study, working under the direction of world-renowned whale researcher Jorge Urban, Ph.D., on the Sea of Cortez. Dwight Moody, Ed.D., professor of biology, and seven students UF students also participated.
