College of Health Professions to Host Alumna

 The University of Findlay’s College of Health Professions welcomes occupational therapist Julie Hammer as a featured speaker during the second annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in the Alumni Memorial Union. After graduating with an occupational therapy degree from UF in 2004, Hammer has worked as an occupational therapist in multiple settings. She has practiced mainly with the pediatric population in outpatient, inpatient, school-based and early intervention settings. She received her Sensory Integration and Praxis certificate, as well as numerous continuing education certifications on autism, sensory integration and interactive metronome training. She currently works at Lima Memorial Health System. A lifelong learner, Hammer recently enrolled at The University of Findlay to work on a master’s degree in education. In her presentation at the symposium, she will share her thoughts on her past successes and future endeavors. Each college will host a speaker during the symposium.
