Heritage Scholarship Offers Financial Aid to Two Students
Sunday, March 16, 2008
The University of Findlay recently received a gift of $10,000 to the Heritage Scholarship for African-American Students Endowment Fund, which will provide both a sophomore and a junior student with additional scholarship funds. Previously, the scholarship gave the opportunity only to a sophomore student.
Established through the generosity of Janet Mrvosh Taylor, the scholarship is awarded to students of African-American descent. The recipient must have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.8 through two semesters of the previous academic year.
Approximately 90 percent of the undergraduate student body is eligible to receive financial aid. The University awards more than $25 million annually in financial aid to students, a significant portion of which comes from scholarship endowment funds.
