The University of Findlay has promoted Sara Hingson to director of external affairs.

In her new role at the University, Hingson will coordinate activities with the Ohio Board of Regents, the Higher Learning Commission and professional accreditation agencies, as well as oversee articulation agreements and transfer policies. She also will supervise the editing and publication of UF catalogs and evaluate academic policies for internal consistency and external compliance.

Hingson began her career at UF in the Office of the Registrar in 1993 as secretary to the registrar. That same year, she was named assistant to the registrar, and in 2000, she was promoted to associate director of institutional research. In 2006, Hingson was named associate registrar.

Hingson received a bachelor of arts in education and a master of arts in education from The University of Findlay.
