Wolf Expert Peterson to be on Campus March 27

Rolf PetersonThe University of Findlay will host wolf expert Rolf O. Peterson, a professor in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science at Michigan Technological University, Thursday, March 27.

Peterson will present a public lecture titled “The Wolves of Isle Royale After 50 Years” at 1 p.m. in Winebrenner Theological Seminary. There is no cost to attend the presentation, and there will be time for questions from the audience.

Peterson also will visit a class while on campus and provide an illustrated talk on comparative behavior of wolves and foxes.

For 38 years, Peterson has researched the wolves and moose in Isle Royale National Park. Click here to read more about the park.

As an expert in the field, he has been mentioned in National Geographic, Newsweek, Ranger Rick, National Wildlife, Wall Street Journal and other publications. He holds a Ph.D. in wildlife ecology from Purdue University and a B.A. in zoology from the University of Minnesota at Duluth.
