Scholarship Established in Memory of Schmidt
Thursday, March 20, 2008
The James M. Schmidt Math Scholarship was recently established at The University of Findlay. Martha Schmidt established the scholarship in memory of her late husband, James M. Schmidt, who began teaching at UF as an adjunct professor of math in 1995 following a career as a teacher in the public school system. He began teaching full time in 2000 and retired as an assistant professor in 2007. Each recipient of the scholarship must be a full-time student majoring in mathematics and is in his or her junior year of study. The recipient also must maintain a G.P.A. of at least 3.0.
