UF Grad to be Guest on Ellen DeGeneres Show Today

UF graduate Stacy (Glidden) Westfall will appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today, March 14.

“I showed you some amazing video of her riding her horse Roxy bareback and doing some jaw dropping tricks. Friday, trick rider Stacy Westfall and Roxy will join us and hopefully teach me a trick or two,” wrote DeGeneres on her Web site. Westfall is featured in the video clip on the home page. Westfall, a 1997 graduate, and her husband, Jesse, own and operate Westfall Horsemanship in Mount Gilead, Ohio. The couple also conducts clinics across the United States and Canada.

Throughout her career, Westfall has competed in and won a number of events, and she is especially well known for her ability to control a horse without a saddle or a bridle. In addition, Westfall was the first woman ever invited to compete in the Road to the Horse colt-breaking challenge in 2006 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and she won.
