The University of Findlay will host the second annual
Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity beginning at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 15,
on campus.
The event gives both undergraduate and graduate students the
opportunity to share research projects and creative works with their
peers and the community.
A
welcome and awards ceremony will begin the event in the Alumni Memorial
Union (AMU). Activities will continue in the AMU throughout the
afternoon. Two students will demonstrate pottery making, and the
Student Technology Center will offer workshops.
At 1:15 p.m., the College of Business will host
Terry Terhark ’06, and the College of Education
will host
Deb Wickerham M ’02. Both colleges will present student awards. Student academic
presentations, a theater presentation and a display of student artwork
also will take place. Student presentations will take place at 1:45 p.m.
At 2:15 p.m., the College of Sciences will host
Robert Verb ’96, and the College of Health Professions
will host
Julie Hammer ’04. Both colleges will present student awards. Student
presentations and a theater presentation also will be happening at that
time. Additional student presentations will take place at 2:45 p.m.
The College of Liberal Arts
will host
Adam Brannon ’07 and present student awards at 3:15 p.m., which will
coincide with student academic presentations. Another set of student
presentations will begin at 3:45 p.m., and students will be available
to answer questions about their poster presentations in the AMU at 4:10
p.m.
A reception will conclude the event at 4:30 p.m.
in the AMU. The UF Jazz Band will provide entertainment, and awards
will be given for the best poster presentations.

symposium, showcasing a range of interests and talent through
multimedia and poster presentations, drama and musical performances.
