University Singers to Perform Family Concert

The University of Findlay’s 12-member vocal ensemble, University Singers, will perform 12 choreographed numbers at its annual Family Concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

There is no cost to attend.

Highlights include a 12-minute medley of songs from the long-running Broadway hit, “Chicago;” “Let’s Hear it for Me” and “How Lucky Can You Get” from the musical film “Funny Lady;” and “All Aboard,” a train medley of “Chattanooga Choo-Choo” and “On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe.”

Other popular songs include Johnny Mercer’s classic “Dream” and “Hernando’s Hideaway” from “The Pajama Game,” “The Telephone Hour” from “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Family” from “Dreamgirls.”

The audience also will hear ballads such as Barbra Streisand’s “Songbird,” Kenny Rodgers’ and Kim Carnes’ “What About Me?,” Jeffery Osborne’s “On the Wings of Love” and Natalie and Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable.”
