More than 30 UF faculty and staff members and students worked together to help build the 13th Habitat for Humanity home in Hancock County. The Findlay/Hancock County Habitat for Humanity affiliate, in partnership with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and The Shelly Co., began building the Foraker Avenue home June 7. The three-week blitz build will conclude June 28 with a 10 a.m. home dedication ceremony and tour. Including the UF group, more than 400 volunteers will have volunteered their time and energy by the end of the build. Those that are willing and able pound nails, hang drywall and perform a number of construction-related tasks. For additional information about this build, contact Wendy McCormick at 419-429-1400 or info@habitatfindlay.org. For additional information about how you can help with the UF campus Habitat for Humanity chapter or with the county chapter, please contact Crystal (Jones) Weitz, Campus Compact coordinator, at 419-434-6671 or cjones@findlay.edu.
