The
Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books welcomes families to its next free
Funday Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, on The University of Findlay campus.
This event is made possible, in part, by The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation and the Charles and Mariann Younger family. Funday Sunday takes place the first Sunday of each month during the academic year.
The theme for the afternoon will be “Down on the Farm!,” and many family-friendly activities will entertain and educate. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend their choice of two different story stations in the museum, where museum docents will provide interactive story telling.
Stacey Gabel and Richard Neuman, author and illustrator of “The New Blue Tractor,” will be available to autograph books.
There also will be art stations where families can create a mural, have their faces painted and more. A tractor pull for children under 80 pounds will take place outside, and several farm-related activities for all will happen inside. All activities are designed for families to experience together.
Refreshments will be provided, and the Gift Shop will be open.
The next Funday Sunday will be Sunday, Nov. 2, and the theme will be “Superman.” In addition to the other activities to take place, donations of non-perishable food items will be collected and delivered to
Chopin (Christians Helping Other People in Need) Hall following the November event.
