Annual Information Assurance Forum Theme is Smart Beginnings

The University of Findlay will host the seventh annual Information Assurance Forum Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
   
This year’s theme, “Smart Beginnings,” focuses on different types of disasters that businesses may face and how those businesses can prepare and respond to those disasters.
   
Sessions include, among others, “The Oops Factor – Accidents do Happen” and “The Big One – How to Prepare for an Recover from a Big Disaster” by Mitchell W. Brown, senior solutions architect of Open Systems Technologies; “Turning a Liability into an Asset” by Anthony P, Iriti, president of the Northwest Ohio Flood Mitigation Partnership; and “Using a Taxonomy to Analyze Recent Data Losses” by Lee T. Ayres, CISSP, Interhack Corp. Several UF students also will give presentations.
