Findlay Celebrates Make a Difference Day
Wednesday, October 22, 2008
The University of Findlay’s Campus Compact Center for Service and Learning will celebrate Make a Difference Day Oct. 25 with its first Sweet Service Saturday. UF students will participate in the intergenerational trick-or-treat party at Birchaven Village. They will assist with guiding children and their families through the neighborhoods of Birchaven Village, where children will visit with and receive candy from residents. Students also will assist with face painting and game stations. Sweet Service Saturdays are volunteer opportunities offered once a month for UF students. Following each Saturday’s activity, students return to the University for pizza and a reflection session. For more information, contact Heather Eichner, AmeriCorps VISTA with Campus Compact, at 419-434-4462.
