Monday, October 27, 2008

The University of Findlay’s final Senior Forum session will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU).

Senior Forum is a flexible learning experience for people age 50 and older. Participants will explore a variety of topics with expert instructors from the UF campus and the greater community.

Each Senior Forum offers three informative and entertaining sessions – one in the morning, one during the lunch hour and one in the afternoon. Attendees may choose to complete the entire day of sessions or attend one or two sessions.

The Oct. 29 Senior Forum will begin with coffee served at 10 a.m. followed by “Elections in the U.S.” by James Taylor at 10:15 a.m. A buffet lunch will be offered at 11:30 a.m.

Richard Epstein of the Better Business Bureau will present “Schemes, Scams and Rip-offs!” at noon, and David Greer will present “Malabar Farm: Louis Bromfield” at 1:15 p.m.

The cost to attend all three sessions is $15 per person. Individual sessions are $5. A buffet lunch is available for an additional $5 per day, and a coffee/tea bar is available all day at no additional charge.

To register, contact Betsey Mascaro, executive administrative assistant for academic affairs, at 419-434-4553.

Reserved parking spaces will be available beside the AMU for Senior Forum participants.
