UF to Host Toys for Tots Christmas Party
Wednesday, December 03, 2008
The University of Findlay will conclude its on-campus Toys for Tots drive and host a Christmas party from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in the Alumni Memorial Union on Frazer Street. Visitors are invited to drop off toys, enjoy hot chocolate and snacks while supplies last, have photos taken with Santa’s helper dog, enjoy Christmas trees decorated by student organizations in the AMU’s Christmas in Whoville and visit with members of the U.S. Marine Corps. All are invited to drop off a new, unwrapped toy for children up to 15 years of age. Donations will be accepted until 6 p.m. The University has participated as a host site for seven years, while the Hancock County Marines have hosted a Toys for Tots drive for 21 years. Last year, 300 toys were collected from UF faculty, staff and students. Toy donations remain in Hancock County.
