ESL Expert to Speak Tuesday

The University of Findlay will host professor Kathi Cennamo, curriculum coordinator and academic program specialist within the spoken English program and English as a Second Language programs at The Ohio State University, for a reception and public lecture Tuesday, Feb. 24.
   
The reception will begin at 4:45 p.m. in the Lape Great Hall of the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion, located on the UF campus. A public lecture with a question-and-answer session will begin at 6 p.m. in Pfeiffer Lecture Hall. Events are open to the public and free of charge.
   
Cennamo’s lecture topic will be “Teaching Pronunciation: Principles and Practices.” With 30 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language and English as a Foreign Language at the university level, Cennamo has coordinated courses, designed curriculum and syllabi, prepared materials and taught students from various nationalities at all levels of proficiency.
   
Cennamo has an M.A. from The Ohio State University and a B.A. from Ohio University. She also studied at the Universidad de Veracruz in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.
