UF Hosts Scholarship Competition Day
Tuesday, March 10, 2009
The University of Findlay will host a Scholarship Competition Day March 14 for high school students who plan to attend the University full time in the fall. Students with a grade point average of at least 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 24 are invited to compete for scholarships of up to $5,000. A total of $50,000 in scholarship funds is available at each competition day. UF administrators said average ACT and SAT scores and grade point averages for entering freshmen have increased each of the last three years. For the fall 2008 entering class, the average ACT score was 24.2, the average SAT score 1570, and the average GPA, 3.5. Approximately 200 students will participate in the competition. Scholarship competition days also were held in December and January. The March 14 competition is the last scholarship competition day of the academic year.
