Findlay Partners with Owens Community College to Graduate Hospitality Management Professionals

The
University of Findlay has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Owens
Community College that will allow students to transition to the University’s
hospitality management program.
Students
who earn an associate’s degree in hospitality management at Owens and have met
the minimum entrance requirements for UF are assured admission to the
University with junior-level status in the hospitality management bachelor’s
degree program.
“We are pleased to partner with Owens
Community College and others who share our academic mission and wish to further
enhance the educational and employment opportunities that The University of
Findlay can offer beyond that of our two-year academic educational
partners/programs,” said John Wolper, Ed.D., associate professor of hospitality
management and chair of the business administration programs at UF.
Owens’
hospitality management technology program is offered on the Toledo-area campus.
The mission of the hospitality management program at
The University of Findlay is to provide students with a career education that
embodies and integrates applied management practices and theory with a strong
business core and liberal arts and sciences. To fulfill its mission, the
program offers a comprehensive applied management curriculum; provides students
with professional work experiences and internships, state of the art laboratory
and computer facilities, heightened communication skills for successful
careers; and instills an understanding of social responsibility through
involvement in community service.
