Visiting Executive to Discuss Health Care

Alumnus Terry Carson, a visiting
executive at The University of Findlay, will give a public lecture at noon
Monday, Nov. 9, in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary. The subject of
Carson’s presentation is “Health Care: Where Are We and Where Are We Going?”
Carson
is CEO of a 25-bed critical access facility, Harrison Community Hospital, in
Cadiz, Ohio, a position he has held for 18 years.
Prior to joining the Harrison
Community Hospital, Carson was administrator of Hialeah Hospital in Hialeah,
Fla., Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield, N.C., and Colleton Regional
Hospital in Walterboro, S.C., and chief accountant of the Suburban Community
Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
In
his community, Carson is involved as a member of the board of trustees for
Belmont Technical College, Mt. Vernon Academy and Western Reserve Masonic Home.
He also is chair of the Workforce Investment Board, which oversees a
four-county region, and he is a member of the Harrison County economic
development steering committee.
Carson is a
graduate of The University of Findlay (then-Findlay College) with a bachelor’s
degree in accounting. He has completed graduate studies at the Wheeling Jesuit
University and University of Miami.
