College of Pharmacy Brings Home Academic Bowl Win

On Saturday, Oct. 22, students from The University of
Findlay’s College of Pharmacy won an Academic Bowl, which took place at the
Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP) Residency Showcase in
Columbus.
The four-student team consisted of sixth-year pharmacy
students Demond Asonganyi and Carla Huelskamp and fifth-year pharmacy students
Tony Kauffman and Katie Hummel.
The team competed in Jeopardy!-style rounds against teams
from other Ohio colleges of pharmacy, including The Ohio State University, the
University of Cincinnati, the University of Toledo, Northeast Ohio Medical
University and Ohio Northern University.
This is the third time UF has competed in the bowl.
Participation is sponsored by the UF Student Society of
Health-System Pharmacists, advised by Bradley Shinn, Pharm.D., associate
professor of pharmacy practice.
