Tuesday, October 25, 2011

On Saturday, Oct. 22, students from The University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy won an Academic Bowl, which took place at the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP) Residency Showcase in Columbus.

The four-student team consisted of sixth-year pharmacy students Demond Asonganyi and Carla Huelskamp and fifth-year pharmacy students Tony Kauffman and Katie Hummel.

The team competed in Jeopardy!-style rounds against teams from other Ohio colleges of pharmacy, including The Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Toledo, Northeast Ohio Medical University and Ohio Northern University.
This is the third time UF has competed in the bowl.

Participation is sponsored by the UF Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, advised by Bradley Shinn, Pharm.D., associate professor of pharmacy practice.
