Author and business consultant Laura Kriska will present “How to Communicate Effectively Across Cultural Boundaries” 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in Davis 102. Community members are welcome to attend at no cost.

In the presentation, Kriska will share her secrets to successful intercultural communication. Refreshments will be provided.

For the past 13 years, Kriska has worked as a business consultant to help Americans and Japanese understand one another in the workplace in fields ranging from manufacturing and banking to education and entertainment. As a cross-cultural business consultant, she was the first American woman to work in the Tokyo headquarters of Honda Motor Company in Japan. Kriska’s book, "The Accidental Office Lady," is a nonfiction account of her two-year experience at Honda.
