The artists in the Mazza Museum are the most highly recognized and respected artists in the area of children's books. Therefore, you would expect them to have received many national and international awards for their work. As a matter of fact, our wonderful artists have received more than 400 of the highest awards given in this field of children's literature. With space limits in mind, we have selected but a few of these award winning artists and their awards to share with you in our "Award Winners Exhibit".
We are featuring in this exhibit winners in these awards categories: Caldecott Medal, Mazza Medallion, The Newbery Medal, The Hans Christian Andersen Medal, The Kate Greenaway Medal, The Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, The Golden Kite Award, Giverny Award, Theodore Seuss Geisel Award, Coretta Scott King Award, and Pura Belpre Award.
