                           "Borders Exhibit"

                    "Mother Goose Exhibit"

                    "Steven Kellogg Exhibit"

Some book artists use borders in their art for a variety of reasons:  continuity, story elements, and decoration to name a few.  In our "Borders Exhibit" you will see how artists such as Jan Brett, Tasha Tudor, and Kevin Henkes use borders to bring depth to their art.

The "Mother Goose Exhibit" is a favorite of Curator, Dr. Jerry Mallett.  In this exhibit artists give put a twist on many of the beloved nursery rhymes.  Although the words to the poems don't change, the imagery that the artists produce are quite varied.  These pieces will have you pondering the meaning behind these ancient rhymes.

The artwork of the gifted artist and amazing storyteller Steven Kellogg is displayed in the "Steven Kellogg Exhibit".  Many of Steven's most popular characters can be seen doing what they do best:  making us smile.  Come see Pinkerton, Johnny Appleseed, and The Three Sillies as they were created by Steven Kellogg.
