"Book Design Exhibit"
"Artist's Models Exhibit"
"Perspective Exhibit"
"Paper Engineering Exhibit"
The "Book Design Exhibit" is one of the features in the Reinhardt
Gallery. This exhibit proves that a book is not made up of single
illustrated pictures, but conveys its message through a series of
sequential images. The impact of the total format of the book is what
creates the art object know as the picture book. Steven Kellogg, Tedd
Arnold, and Wendy Watson are some of the artists with work displayed in
this exhibit.
Where do artists get their inspiration for their artwork? Many times
it's from a model they see on location or bring to their studio. In
our exhibit "Artist's Models Exhibit", we are treated to a glimpse of
the models used in artwork by Oliver Dunrea's "The Broody Hen".
Two of our most popular exhibits reside here in the Reinhardt Gallery: "Perspective Exhibit" and "Paper Engineering Exhibit".
Perspective is the way an artist represents a three-dimensional world
on a two-dimensional surface to make it look realistic and accurate.
Come see the imaginativee ways artists use perspective to bring stories
to life.
Paper Engineering is a cover term that includes various kinds of
books such as pop-up books, flap books, die-cut books and many more.
This exciting exhibit offers hands-on exploration of this unique art form.
