TOURS

BASIC TOURS

Basic Tour -$2 per student

This tour is designed for groups of 50 or less.  The museum tour for your group will last approximately 75 minutes including a ride down the Mazza Slide.  Cost for this tour is $2 per student.  You may also choose to bring sack lunches and eat at our facility.

Basic Tour + Art Activity -$3 per student

This tour is designed for groups of 30 or less and includes a tour and a ride on the Mazza Slide.  Following the tour, your group will then participate in an art activity.  The cost of this tour is $3 per student ($2 tour +$1 art activity).  This tour will take approximately one hour and forty-five minutes.  You may also choose to bring sack lunches and eat at our facility. 

ROTATION TOUR

Rotation Tour $3 per student

Rotation tours are for groups of 70 or less.  The group will be divided into 2 groups.  Group A (maximum of 35 students) will have a full museum tour with slide (75 minutes).  Group B (maximum of 35 students) will participate in the art activity, lunch and restroom break (75 minutes).  At the end of this time, Group A and Group B will rotate.  The cost of this tour is $3 per student ($2 tour + $1 art activity).

• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour to get your group ready 

• Wear nametags with first names in large print

• Please stay with your group
  

• Please do not touch the artwork

• Become an "Art Detective" by looking for clues in the artwork

• Read the labels on the artwork to find interesting facts   

• Rather than trying to see everything in one visit, COME BACK! 

What to expect during your Mazza museum tour:

Buses should park in the circle drive at the end of College Street next to the museum.  Once in the building, our Head Docent will greet you and direct you.  After using the restroom, if needed, the group will take a "Silent Walk Through" of the museum to get an overview.  A short informational video will be shown and the class will be divided into smaller tour groups.  These small groups will rotate to each gallery where a docent will talk to the children about the art.  At the conclusion of the tour, the small groups will reconvene to discuss their reactions.  After this, we offer an optional ride on the Mazza slide and/or an Art Activity.  If you wish to have lunch at our facility, please have the children bring their own sack lunches.  This must be reserved ahead of time.
