UF - KAKE BRIDGE PROGRAMThe UF - KAKE BRIDGE PROGRAM, a cultural exchange program, is an intensive 3-4 week experience in Japan where students will receive survival-level Japanese language training, attend lectures on Japanese culture/society, visit companies and schools (universities, high schools etc.), take sightseeing trips and participate in local community events (summer festivals). Students will visit Chennai, Mamallapuram, Kanchipuram, Vandalur and other nearby cities, towns and villages. Students will also get a chance to visit businesses, educational institutions, governmental agencies and also places of tourist interest. RAKUNO GAKUEN UNIVERSITY PRE-VET STUDY TOURRakuno Gakuen University is a premier private university with approximately 3,800 students in northern Japan. The goal of the Summer Pre-Vet/Animal Science Study Tour is three-fold. First, Pre-Vet/Animal Science Majors will expand the scope of their veterinary medicine training by participating in hands-on learning activities in veterinary medicine, dairy science, and environmental systems of Rakuno Gakuen University. Second, students will experience practice of veterinary medicine in a different cultural context. INTERCULTURAL HEALTH CARE - KOREAThe first service learning site for allied health students will be at the Holt Children's Center in Ilsan, Korea, a city in the north central section of the Republic of Korea. Students and faculty will have varied opportunities while in Korea including a hands-on experience working with clients of Ilsan Holt Town. Eligibility Requirements: Any major in COHP. Other majors accepted if approved by the group leader. Serving in the schools during the week, participants will also have the chance to explore the rich cultural heritage of the country by taking fieldtrips on the weekends to surrounding areas of interest. TESOL/Spanish Major Internship at the Centro Peruano Norteamericano in Trujillo, Peru. Mexico Study Abroad Program at Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Daito Bunka University student exchange program 2. Naomi English School in Kumamoto, Japan (paid one-semester internship) 3. Hop, Step, Jump Language School in Gifu, Japan (paid one-semester internship) 4.
