The University of Findlay has long had an emphasis on helping our students enhance their communication skills, including both written and verbal presentation skills.  Now, that continuing opportunity is being offered to our graduates.  The College of Business has launched the Writing Fellows Program to encourage students to write an article for publication.  We would invite you to work with these students and possibly co-author an article with them.  Your professional experience and expertise, combined with their academic course work, can yield valuable insights and lessons suitable for publication.  Having a publication on your resume will highlight your credentials as a knowledgeable professional.

In a similar vein, we are actively working with our students in assisting them in writing papers for presentation at professional conferences.  We would also encourage you to consider working with a student on a co-authored paper for presentation at a professional conference of relevance and importance to you and your career interests.  Listing professional conferences at which you have presented on your resume is another sure sign of your competence and expertise.

Of course, there are also opportunities to work with our faculty on publications and presentations.  Please indicate on the Publication/Presentation List registration possible topics of interest and whether you are more interested in authoring a paper for publication, a paper for presentation, or both.
