Academic Technology Services (ATS)
Welcome
to the 2009-'10 academic year at The University of Findlay! This will be our first full year operating as the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE). We are very pleased to offer broadened faculty services, beyond our traditional technology-pedagogy support and training. Professional development opportunities such as tenure & promotion workshops, writing groups, and scholarship/research events are now an embedded part of CTE offerings. The addition of the Teaching Academy to the CTE has already produced excellent workshops and collaborative sessions to assist in the improvement of classroom teaching in any discipline. Expect to see additional Teaching Academy sponsored programs involving peer mentoring, engaged learning, and CLA in the Classroom throughout this coming academic year.
Finally, in the next few months our v4 pages will be going through a major transition, reflecting our new and expanded identity. Most importantly, we plan on making our information, services and technology tools much more visible and accessible for your easy use.
We hope to see you during this year of growth, development and opportunity. Best wishes for a great year!
Cheers,
Ray McCandless
CTE Director
