Content System


In the first session you will learn about what the Content Management System does and how it is used.  You will be shown how to upload documents and manipulate them in the different folders provided.

Learn how to design your blackboard course site by including images, banners, colors, buttons, etc.

Creating ePortfolios

In this workshop we will teach participants how to use the ePortfolio tool within Blackboard.  We will provide instruction and resources on how to effectively use this tool in the classroom.

Discussion Board

Grade Center


Learn how to use the new Grade Center in Blackboard 8.  In this session participants will learn how to add, change and modify items, export to a spreadsheet, and use course features that automate the use of grading.  We also will discuss other functions such as emailing students, grade history and the report generation function.

SafeAssign 

SafeAssign provides a tool for detecting student plagiarism.  Participants will learn to set up an assignment area for students to submit work.  They will learn to view and manage submitted assignments and provide feedback to students.
