Greetings!
I am very pleased to invite you
to attend
The University of Findlay’s SEED Conference on Teaching, Learning and Technology Centers (TLTCs)
“A Snapshot of Teaching, Learning and Technology Centers (TLTCs): Pedagogies and Practicalities”
.
This Conference offers an exciting opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together and share ideas/experiences relating to all aspects of higher education learning, teaching, research and professional development initiatives.
In fact, if you are in any way involved in the ‘business’ of helping to move your institution forward in terms of teaching, learning, faculty development and the training/application of new pedagogies, we believe that you will find our SEED Conference to be valuable and relevant.
For example, although 25 years of my professional life is defined as a political scientist and faculty member, my work with The University of Findlay’s TLTC has dovetailed with these academic interests and responsibilities in a very positive and seamless manner. Involvement in TLTC programs, training sessions, and interaction with the Center’s professionals has led to new and exciting directions for both my teaching and research in terrorism and genocide studies. As the Director of Academic Technology Services, it has been extremely gratifying to see how our TLTC has become a meeting place or intersection for the university community to forge collaborative endeavors, new skills and innovative projects.
Our main goal
is to ensure that attendees leave this Conference with a broad perspective on the structure, types of activities, and work carried out by TLTC-type organizations in a variety of higher education institutions.
We also want our Conference guests to acquire new ideas for specific projects/tools that can be implemented at their home institutions. I am sure many of you have ‘stories’, projects, strategies, etc. that you would like to share with other enthusiastic, dedicated professionals. I hope you will consider joining our ‘conversation’ about TLTCs, and helping us to meet our SEED Conference goals!
Please contact me if I can provide any further information. Thank you!
