Joining the Campus Compact Board 

If you would like to join the Campus Compact Board,
the following are Board member responsibilities.


Two year commitment for the following duties:

* Attend board meetings (one in fall semester and one in spring semester)

* Serve on at least one of the following committees and meet monthly with that committee:
  • Executive (Co-Chairs, Coordinator of the Campus Compact Center, Faculty Liaison for Academic Service-Learning)
  • Volunteer/Co-Curricular Service-Learning
  • Assessment
  • Academic Service-Learning
  • Student

* Participate in special events sponsored by Campus Compact each year or consider special volunteer involvement. Some possibilities include:
  • Orientation Service Project (August 22, 2009)
  • Fall Volunteer Fair - "Make a Difference Fair" (September 24, 2009)
  • Coats for Christmas on-campus collection (Nov. 30-Dec. 4, 2009)
  • Valentine's Party and Food Drive (Feb. 9, 2010)
  • Box City Fundraiser (week of March 22, 2010)
  • Days of Caring (April 22-23, 2010)
  • Alternative Break Programs/Trips
  • Academic Service-Learning Trainings
  • Mobile Food Pantries (Oct. 24, 2009 and March 27, 2010)
  • Sweet Service Saturdays (monthly)

* Attend strategic planning meetings or other special meetings as called by the coordinator

* Accept appointment to occasional task groups or ad hoc committees

* Accept this organization’s policies and mission

* Promote this organization to the UF and larger communities

* Visit one community partner per year (Campus Compact Center will set up dates/times)

* Perform annual review of Board's work and performance
