Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) began at UF in January 1982, when
two track athletes began meeting for prayer and Bible study. In its 23
year history, the group has grown from those two athletes to attendance
numbers as high as 95. The current membership is around 40 students-
many of whom are NOT athletes.
The group meets on a weekly basis for fellowship, Bible study and
prayer. Each meeting involves a devotional and a fun activity to build
a community feeling among the group members.
Every semester, FCA plans several activities for its members and others
who may be interested. The activities for the fall semester include a
trip to Hocking Hills, going to a corn maze, and a bowling party.
FCA meets every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. in BCHS 100. All students are invited to attend, regardless of athletic status.
