Reactivating in the spring of 2005, the Newman Club offers Catholic
students a chance to meet new friends, learn more about themselves and
enjoy fellowship and God's Word.
Approximately 50 people participate in the Newman Club. Weekly
meetings are held to discuss club activities. Two meetings
each month are dedicated to planning and communicating ideas, one
meeting is designed for prayer and reflection, and the other meeting of
the month is for a fun activity.
The Newman Club works to provide a peaceful, secure and accepting
environment for the Catholic community and a support network for
students and faculty of all faiths. The group works to be a force
of change through prayer, fellowship and service, as well as to
recognize and share God's joy. This year the Newman Club also
began a nw community service project, as they are co-sponsoring the
blood drives on campus.
Once a month, the Newman Club takes part in the 6p.m. Mass at St.
Michael the Archangel Parish in downtown Findlay. The Newman Club meets
each Tuesday at
9 p.m. in the AMU Endly Room.
