Career Planning and Undeclared Major Advising
is your step to successful career planning

Career Planning and Undeclared Major Advising helps students who need to choose a major or are  thinking about changing their majors explore the Findlay majors and career fields that are the best match for their interests, abilities, values, and goals. Services for students deciding on a major or considering changing majors include the following.

  • Academic advising for freshmen entering Undeclared and transitional advising for students in the process of changing majors
  • Individual, confidential career counseling for students thinking about changing their major or needing to choose a major.
  • Interest assessments and MBTI interpretation
  • The DISCOVER career assessment and information system from ACT
  • Majorfest majors fair showcasing all of Findlay's programs
  • ACAD 125 Career Development class for exploring majors (fall semester)

Career counseling services are also available for University of Findlay alumni considering a change in career direction.

SERVICES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Area high school and junior high students are eligible for career counseling services if they are actively applying to the University of Findlay for admission and are referred to Career Services by Admissions.

Community members seeking career counseling help must first contact the Admissions Office or the Office of Graduate and Special Programs for information on Findlay's academic programs and to request a referral for career counseling services.

Career assessment inventories are available only to students currently enrolled at The University of Findlay.
