What type of facilities are available?
Whether you are planning a wedding, business meeting or party, The University of Findlay has a variety of facilities to meet your needs. Our facilities range from small meeting rooms, to large rooms capable of seating hundreds. Our gymnasium, swimming pool and ice rink are also available for recreational activities.
Do I need to provide liability insurance?
All groups must provide the university with a certificate of insurance, at least one week prior to the event. The certificate of insurance must include the following:
A per occurrence liability limit of $1,000,000.
The University of Findlay must be named as an additional insured on your policy for the time the room(s) are being used.
A hold harmless agreement in favor of The University of Findlay must be a provision of your insurance policy.
Is there a rental fee?
The University of Findlay's students and student organizations are able to use all facilities. The rental fee is waived for these individuals, as it is considered part of tuition.
Employees, retiree employees, Alumni, Town and Campus, Churches of God, and other select organizations are allowed free use of UF meeting areas for personal use, i.e. showers, wedding receptions, birthday parties. However, there is a charge for overnight stay in the residence halls.
The category designation of any group will be determined by the majority of people in the group, not by any one person. Therefore, if a student or employee is associated with a commercial and/or community group, the rental charge is not automatically waived.
Educational groups are allowed free use of facilities for meetings, and outdoor recreational activities, unless these are athletic events sponsored by a school, or unless these are an athletic association. All indoor recreation facilities are charged at cost.
